the summer before middle school my mom asked if i would be joining band and learning to play an instrument. i thought about it. said yes. and decided a trumpet would be best for me. so we got in the car and started driving to the music store and i said “this is gonna be way easier than any other instrument cause you only have to learn 3 buttons.” then she was like “well brandon, it’s more complicated than that. you have to control how far down you push those and in what combinations you use them at the same time.” so i was bummed. told her to please stop the car. we turned around. went home. and i never learned to play an instrument.
long story short - dumbest choice ever. wish i cld make music. i think i’d make some good stuff. maybe. like this guy exile for example. i’m obsessed w/ this sound. and i think i’ve watched the video 20 times. it’s simply fucking awesome. that violinnish sound will hit something deep in ur chest each time u hear it. i dunno. somethin about it’s just really good.
